My party is a slightly spooky sleep-over in an old haunted house. I rushed some of these guests so it's pretty random, I really don't want Dracula there, he's far too evil to be fun, and he's not technically a ghost. I started off doing a spooky mystery house theme but it didn't work out.

Years ago, I watched a fascinating PBS documentary with Joseph Campbell, titled "The Power of Myth".  By mainly using the Star Wars movies, Campbell outlined the basic traits of both plot and characters in both ancient and modern storytelling (myths).  I learned more in this one program than probably all of my English classes combined.
